Pembanding Perbedaan
Compare two texts and highlight differences

Tentang alat ini
Comparing two versions of a text by eye is unreliable in a specific way: people are very good at spotting a changed word in a sentence and very bad at noticing a missing line in a hundred, or a swapped digit in a reference number. A diff does the comparison mechanically, aligning the two versions and marking exactly what was added, removed or altered. The technique comes from version control, where reviewing changes rather than whole files is the entire workflow, but it applies just as well to a contract that came back from a lawyer, two exports of the same configuration, or a document someone edited without tracking changes. This tool compares any two blocks of text - prose, code, JSON, CSV, logs - because it works on characters and lines rather than on what the content means. Everything runs in your browser, so contracts and production configuration are never uploaded.

Cara menggunakan alat ini
- Paste the original on the leftThis is the version you are comparing against - the older file, or the one you consider correct.
- Paste the new version on the rightThe edited, received or generated version you want to inspect.
- Read the highlighted differencesAdded and removed content is marked so you can see at a glance what changed and where.
- Work through each changeConfirm every difference was intended. Unexplained changes are the reason to run a diff in the first place.
Mengapa menggunakannya
- Finds changes reliably, including the ones people skim past - a missing line, a changed digit, a swapped word.
- Works on any text: prose, code, JSON, CSV, logs, configuration.
- Side-by-side layout, so you see both versions in context rather than a list of edits.
- Runs in your browser - contracts, credentials in config files and unpublished work never leave your device.
- No account and no size limit imposed by a server.
Penggunaan umum
- Checking what a lawyer or client actually changed in a returned contract.
- Comparing two versions of a configuration file when one environment works and the other does not.
- Reviewing edits to a document where change tracking was not used.
- Comparing two API responses to find which field differs.
- Verifying that a copied block of text or code is identical to its source.
Tips untuk hasil lebih baik
- Put the older or known-good version on the left. Diffs read as "what changed to get from left to right", so the wrong order inverts every addition and removal.
- Format both sides the same way before comparing. Running JSON through the JSON Formatter first turns a useless whole-file difference into a readable one.
- For prose, compare paragraph by paragraph if a reflowed document shows every line as changed - rewrapping shifts line boundaries even when the words are identical.
- Watch for changed numbers and dates specifically. They are the differences most likely to matter and least likely to catch the eye.
- Trailing whitespace and line ending differences (Windows CRLF versus Unix LF) show as changes here, because there is no ignore-whitespace option - normalise both sides first if that noise gets in the way.
Kesalahan yang harus dihindari
- Swapping the two sides, then reading additions as deletions.
- Comparing a minified file against a formatted one, which reports everything as different. Format both first.
- Assuming an empty diff means the files are identical - it means the text is identical, which says nothing about encoding or metadata.
- Comparing reflowed prose line by line and concluding everything changed, when only the wrapping did.
- Pasting production configuration containing live credentials into an online tool without checking whether it runs locally. This one does.

Paste the original on the left and the new version on the right. Differences are highlighted immediately, showing exactly what was added, removed or changed.
Yes. No account, no length limit and no upload.
Yes. It compares text as text, so code, JSON, YAML, CSV, logs and configuration all work. Formatting both sides consistently first makes the result far more readable.
Yes. There is no ignore-whitespace option, so indentation changes, trailing spaces and different line endings all show up. If that noise is unhelpful, normalise both sides before pasting.
No. The comparison runs in your browser, which is what makes it safe for contracts, internal documents and configuration files containing credentials.
Almost always formatting rather than content - one side minified and the other formatted, or a document that was rewrapped so every line boundary moved. Normalise both sides and compare again.
Open each file, copy its contents and paste them into the two panels. The comparison is on text content either way.
Git and similar tools track history over time and diff automatically between commits. This compares two arbitrary blocks of text on demand, which is what you need when there is no repository - a returned contract, two config exports, a document emailed back to you.
