Most "online notepad" tools give you one box that autosaves - useful, but it means one typo or an accidental select-all-delete can wipe out something you cannot get back. This one keeps everything a simple notepad does (multiple notes, autosave to your browser, export as .txt or .md) and adds what a plain notepad does not: version history. A few seconds after you stop typing, a snapshot of that note is saved; you can browse past versions and restore any of them, non-destructively - restoring saves your current text as a version too, so undoing a restore is just restoring the entry above it.

- Notes and their version history live in THIS BROWSER only - they will not appear on another device, and clearing your browser data will remove them. Export anything important.
- Use .md export if you plan to open the note in a Markdown-aware editor later; .txt is the safer universal choice for plain reading.

A version snapshot is saved a few seconds after you pause typing (not on every keystroke), and only when the text has changed meaningfully since the last snapshot - this keeps the history list useful instead of cluttered with near-identical entries.
It is not lost - your current text is saved as a new version first (if it differs from what you are restoring), so it appears at the top of the version list and can itself be restored if you change your mind.
You can create as many notes as you like. Each individual note keeps its 25 most recent versions - older ones are dropped automatically to keep browser storage from growing without bound.
