PNG is the format screenshots default to, and it is what people use for scans they do not want compressed. Both end up needing to become a PDF, because that is what forms, portals and colleagues expect - one file, pages in order, printable. This tool wraps each PNG as a page. The one behaviour worth knowing in advance concerns transparency: PNG supports transparent backgrounds and PDF pages do not, so any transparent area is filled with white. That is almost always what you want for a document, but it surprises people converting a logo with a cut-out background. Images are embedded at their original resolution rather than re-compressed, so a screenshot stays exactly as sharp as it was. Note that PNG screenshots of text are pictures, not text - the resulting PDF is not searchable. Everything runs in your browser using pdf-lib, so nothing is uploaded.
