À propos de cet outil
Since iOS 11, iPhones have saved photos as HEIC by default. Technically it is the better format - roughly half the file size of JPG at equivalent quality, because it uses modern video-codec compression rather than a design from 1992. The problem is support. Windows needs a codec extension, many websites reject the file type outright, older Android phones cannot open it, and plenty of desktop software simply does not recognise it. So the format that saves space on your phone becomes the format nobody you send it to can view. Converting to JPG trades that efficiency for universal compatibility: the file gets larger, but it opens everywhere, on everything, with no extra software. Conversion is done in your browser, so photos normally never leave your device - the one exception is a HEIC variant the in-browser decoder cannot read, where the file falls back to server processing so the conversion still succeeds.

Les formats d'appareil photo modernes sont efficaces mais de nombreuses applications ne peuvent pas les lire. Convertissez, puis ajustez la taille selon la destination.

Comment utiliser cet outil
- Add your HEIC photosDrop them in or browse to select. Several can be converted in one pass - useful when a whole album needs it.
- ConvertEach photo is decoded and re-encoded as JPG in your browser. Nothing is uploaded at any stage.
- DownloadSave individually or all together. Your original HEIC files stay exactly as they were.
Pourquoi l’utiliser
- Produces JPGs that open on Windows, Android, older devices and any website, with no plugin or codec.
- Batch conversion, so a whole album is one operation rather than dozens.
- Runs on your device - personal photos are never uploaded to anyone's server.
- Originals are preserved, so you keep the smaller HEIC files on your phone.
- No account, no upload limit and no watermark.
Usages courants
- Uploading iPhone photos to a website or form that rejects HEIC.
- Sending photos to someone on Windows or Android who cannot open them.
- Preparing images for software - older Photoshop, many CMS platforms - that does not read HEIC.
- Attaching photos to an application, insurance claim or listing that specifies JPG.
- Archiving photos in a format that will still open in twenty years.
Conseils pour de meilleurs résultats
- Convert copies, not your only versions. HEIC files are smaller, so keeping them on the phone saves real space.
- To stop this recurring, set iPhone Settings, Camera, Formats to "Most Compatible" - the phone then shoots JPG directly.
- Expect the JPG to be roughly twice the size of the HEIC. That is the cost of compatibility, not a fault.
- Live Photos convert to their still frame only, since JPG cannot hold the motion component.
- If the JPGs are then too large to email, run them through the Image Compressor.
Erreurs à éviter
- Deleting the HEIC originals after converting, which doubles the storage the photos occupy.
- Expecting Live Photo motion or depth data to survive. JPG is a still format - only the frame is kept.
- Uploading personal photos to a converter that processes on a server. This one does not.
- Converting at very low quality to save space, then finding the photos are visibly degraded when printed.
- Assuming edits made in the iPhone Photos app are baked in. Convert the exported version if the edits matter.

Questions fréquentes
Add your HEIC photos above and convert. Each is re-encoded as JPG in your browser and downloads immediately - no upload, no account.
Yes. No account, no per-day limit, no watermark and no cap on how many photos you convert.
iPhones save as HEIC to halve the file size, but support is patchy outside Apple's ecosystem - Windows needs a codec, many websites reject it, and older Android devices cannot open it. JPG works everywhere.
Slightly, since JPG is lossy, but at normal quality the difference is not visible. The more noticeable change is the file size, which roughly doubles.
Normally no - conversion runs in your browser, so photos stay on your device. There is one exception: if a HEIC variant cannot be decoded in the browser, that file is sent to the server to convert rather than failing. It is processed and discarded, not stored.
The still frame converts; the short video component does not, because JPG is a still-image format. If you need the motion, export it as a video from the Photos app separately.
Settings, Camera, Formats, then choose "Most Compatible". The phone shoots JPG from then on, at the cost of larger files on the device.
Yes. Add as many photos as you like and they are processed one after another in your browser. Very large batches use memory, so close other heavy tabs if you are doing hundreds.
