À propos de cet outil
A raw screenshot rarely looks good in a feed - it sits edge to edge, has no depth, and the platform crops it somewhere unfortunate. Share Card Studio wraps it in the things a designer would add anyway: breathing room, a coloured backdrop, a window or phone frame, and a soft shadow that lifts it off the page. Pick 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 or 16:9 and the card is composed at that exact ratio, so nothing important gets cropped. Everything happens on a canvas in your browser - the image is never uploaded.
Comment utiliser cet outil
- Add your screenshotDrag it in, click to browse, or just press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V) to paste straight from your clipboard.
- Choose a shape and framePick the ratio for where you are posting, then add a macOS window, browser chrome or phone bezel if the shot needs context.
- Set the moodChoose a backdrop, then adjust padding, corner radius and shadow. "Image blur" pulls the backdrop colour from your screenshot itself.
- Download or copyExport PNG or WebP, or copy the image straight to your clipboard and paste it into a post.
Pourquoi l’utiliser
- Four export ratios sized for Instagram, Stories, X and Open Graph previews.
- macOS, browser and phone frames drawn at export resolution, so they stay crisp.
- Gradient, solid, film-grain and image-blur backdrops - no generic purple gradient.
- Optional caption and a watermark toggle that remembers your choice.
- Copy to clipboard where the browser supports it, otherwise a one-click download.
- Entirely client-side: nothing is uploaded, so private screenshots stay private.
Usages courants
- Announcing a product update with a screenshot that does not look like a bug report.
- Turning an app screen into a 9:16 story without letterboxing it.
- Making an Open Graph image so a shared link previews properly.
- Dressing up a chart or dashboard for a slide or a newsletter.
Conseils pour de meilleurs résultats
- Set the backdrop to "Image blur" when the screenshot is colourful - the card picks up its own palette.
- More padding reads as more premium. Around 14-18% is the sweet spot for a feed post.
- The browser frame address bar is editable, which is handy for showing a page URL without exposing a real one.
- "Surprise me" only shuffles tasteful combinations, so it is a fast way to find a starting point.
Erreurs à éviter
- Exporting a wide 16:9 card for Instagram - use 4:5 there, it takes far more vertical space in the feed.
- Turning the shadow to maximum on a light backdrop, which turns into a grey smudge rather than depth.
- Adding a caption longer than the card can show; it is truncated rather than shrunk, so keep it short.
Questions fréquentes
No. The card is composed on a canvas inside your browser and the file only exists on your device. There is no server involved at any point.
The longest edge is 1600px, so a 1:1 card is 1600x1600 and a 9:16 story is 900x1600. That is comfortably above what social platforms display.
Browsers cannot decode HEIC, which is what iPhones save by default. Run it through the HEIC to JPG tool first, then bring the JPG back here.
Yes - it is a toggle in the Text section, and your choice is remembered on this device. The export is identical either way.
PNG for screenshots with text and sharp edges, which is most of them. WebP produces a much smaller file and is fine for photo-heavy cards.
The frames are stylised rather than a pixel copy of any operating system, which keeps them legible at small sizes and avoids implying the screenshot came from a specific app.
Yes. Share Card Studio is free for normal use with no account required, and ToolBox does not add a watermark to your result.
Most tools in this category run in your browser so the file stays on your device. If a tool needs a temporary server job, files are handled for that job only and are not kept as a lasting archive.
