À propos de cet outil
Putting a logo in the middle of a QR code is not a trick or a workaround - it works because of a feature built into the format. QR codes carry Reed-Solomon error correction, which stores redundant copies of the data so a code still reads when part of it is dirty, torn or covered. There are four levels: L recovers about 7% of the code, M about 15%, Q about 25% and H about 30%. A centred logo simply consumes some of that budget, and the scanner reconstructs what is underneath. This gives a clear rule rather than guesswork: raise the error correction level to H before adding a logo, and keep the logo under roughly 30% of the total area. Go beyond that and the code becomes unreadable on some devices while still scanning fine on your own phone - which is the failure mode that gets discovered after ten thousand flyers are printed. Codes are generated in your browser.
Comment utiliser cet outil
- Enter your URLShorter is better - fewer characters mean a simpler pattern with more room to spare for the logo.
- Set error correction to HThis is the step that makes a logo safe. H reserves around 30% redundancy specifically so part of the code can be covered.
- Upload your logoA square PNG with a transparent or white background works best. Keep it central.
- Test on several phones before printingOld Android devices, cheap camera phones and scanning apps all behave differently. Test at the actual printed size.
Pourquoi l’utiliser
- Branded codes that still scan reliably, because the logo uses error correction rather than fighting it.
- Turns a generic black square into something that reinforces recognition on print material.
- Generated in your browser, so campaign URLs are never uploaded.
- Downloadable at high resolution for print.
- No account, no expiry and no watermark.
Usages courants
- Business cards where the code should look designed rather than bolted on.
- Product packaging linking to instructions or registration.
- Posters, flyers and banners for a campaign.
- Restaurant menus and table cards.
- Event badges and conference materials.
Conseils pour de meilleurs résultats
- Always raise error correction to H before adding a logo. This is the single thing that determines whether it scans.
- Keep the logo under about 30% of the code area, centred. The corner finder patterns must stay completely clear.
- Use a short URL. A long one produces a dense pattern that copes far less well with being partly covered.
- Print larger than a plain code would need. Logo codes have less margin for error at small sizes.
- Test on old and cheap phones, not just your own. Modern flagship cameras read almost anything.
Erreurs à éviter
- Adding a logo without raising error correction, which is the most common cause of a code that scans inconsistently.
- Making the logo too large. Past roughly 30% coverage, reliability falls off sharply and unpredictably.
- Covering a corner finder pattern - the three squares scanners use to locate and orient the code.
- Using a low-contrast or busy logo that blends into the surrounding pattern.
- Testing on one phone and printing thousands of copies. That is how unreadable codes reach production.

Enter your URL, set error correction to H, upload your logo and download the result. Test the finished code on a few different phones before printing.
Yes. No account, no expiry, no tracking and no watermark on the downloaded image.
Not if you do it correctly. QR codes carry error correction that lets part of the pattern be covered and reconstructed. Set the level to H and keep the logo under about 30% of the area, and it will scan reliably.
Redundant data stored inside the code so it survives damage or obstruction. Four levels exist - L, M, Q and H - recovering roughly 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% respectively. H is what gives a logo the room it needs.
Around 30% of the code area at most, centred. Larger than that and the scanner runs out of redundant data to work from, which shows up as a code that reads on some devices and not others.
A square, high-contrast PNG, ideally with a transparent or white background. Busy or low-contrast logos blur into the pattern and make detection harder.
Because your phone has a good camera and a forgiving scanner. Older and cheaper devices have less tolerance, so a code that is marginal reads fine for you and fails for a share of your audience. Reduce the logo size or raise error correction.
Larger than you would print a plain code - a logo consumes the margin that would otherwise absorb print imperfection. Test at the exact final size before committing to a print run.
