Does two jobs. The first is the one people most often arrive with: you and a partner each put money into something, it made a profit, and you need to know who gets what. Enter what each person contributed and the profit, and every share is worked out in proportion - along with what each person ends up walking away with. The second is ordinary percentage maths: what X% of Y is, what percentage one number is of another, the change between two values, and increasing or decreasing an amount by a percentage.

- Contribution-based splitting is only fair when money was the only thing contributed. If one partner also did most of the work, agree a labour share separately before using this.
- Enter the profit, not the total revenue. Profit is what is left after costs.
- For a loss, enter a negative profit. Each partner's share of the loss is proportional to their stake, and their total shows what remains of it.
- Put your own contribution first. The plain-English summary at the bottom always describes the first person listed.
Kesalahan yang harus dihindari
- Splitting profit evenly when the contributions were not equal. If you put in $20,000 and your partner $30,000, an even split quietly transfers money from you to them.
- Confusing revenue with profit. Splitting revenue before deducting costs leaves the partnership short.
- Forgetting that a percentage increase and decrease do not cancel out: up 10% then down 10% leaves you at 99%, not 100%.
- Applying a percentage to the wrong base. "20% off then 10% off" is not 30% off - the second discount applies to the already-reduced price.

Divide it in proportion to what each person contributed. If you put in $20,000 and your partner $30,000, the total is $50,000, so your share is 40% and theirs is 60%. On a $10,000 profit that is $4,000 to you and $6,000 to them. Enter your own figures above and it is worked out instantly.

Yes. Splitting $10,000 three ways leaves a rounding remainder, so it is assigned to the last person rather than dropped. The individual shares always sum to the profit you entered.
Divide the first number by the second and multiply by 100. So 25 out of 200 is 25 / 200 x 100 = 12.5%. The "X is what % of Y" mode does this for you.
Subtract the old value from the new one, divide by the old value, and multiply by 100. Going from 80 to 100 is (100 - 80) / 80 x 100 = 25%. Note it is not 20%, because the increase is measured against the starting value.
Because each percentage applies to a different base. $100 up 10% is $110; $110 down 10% is $99, not $100. The second percentage is taken from the larger amount.
Use the "decrease by %" mode. Enter the original price and the discount percentage. For stacked discounts, apply them one at a time - 20% then 10% is a 28% total reduction, not 30%.
