Make a Transparent PNG from a Photo (Free Background Remover)

How to export a clean transparent PNG

1. Upload a photo with a clear subject. A person or object against a simple wall beats a busy street.
2. Compare the server and on-device results. Pick the cleaner edge, especially around hair or straps.
3. Zoom in. Brush leftover background, especially between fingers and around glasses.
4. Set the canvas background to transparent. Do not leave a colour fill if you want a real PNG alpha channel.
5. Download PNG. If you need it smaller afterwards, compress a copy, but keep this PNG as the master.

What ruins a cut-out

• Saving as JPG and wondering why the checkerboard became white.
