Conseils pour de meilleurs résultats

  • Good separation between subject and background gives the best result - a person against a plain wall works far better than against a busy street.
  • The canvas starts at 100% zoom. Zoom in with the slider or scroll wheel to check hair and edge detail, then reset when you are done.
  • Even lighting helps. Deep shadows blur the boundary the model is trying to find.
  • Fine detail is the hard case. Use the brush tools in the Edit tab to fix hair, fur or glass after the automatic cut-out.
  • Always save as PNG. Converting the result to JPG destroys the transparency and fills it with white.

Erreurs à éviter

  • Saving the result as JPG, which silently discards the transparency you just created.
  • Expecting perfect hair edges from any automatic tool. That is the case that still needs manual work.
  • Using a photo where subject and background are similar colours, then blaming the tool for a poor mask.
  • Uploading NDA or pre-launch product photos without reading the privacy note. This tool uses a secure server for the fast cut-out and also offers an on-device option - know which path you are using before you upload sensitive shots.
  • Assuming the first run is slow because something is wrong - on-device AI needs a one-time model download; the server path is usually ready sooner.

A clear subject with reasonable contrast against a simple background. Busy backgrounds, similar subject and background colours, and low light all make the boundary harder for the model to find.

Fine detail is the hardest case in segmentation. Solid outlines come out clean; individual strands of hair and transparent objects are where the Edit tab brush tools still help.

PNG, because it is the standard format that supports transparency. Do not convert it to JPG afterwards - JPG has no alpha channel and would fill the transparent area with solid white.
