Will my hearts show up?

  • WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, iMessage: every emoji heart shows in colour. Newer hearts (🩷 🩵 🩶) need an up-to-date phone.
  • Discord and X (Twitter): emoji are redrawn in their own style, so colours match but the shapes differ slightly.
  • Old Windows apps, game names and some forms: combined emoji (❤️‍🔥, couples) can split into two symbols, and emoji may show as boxes - switch to Plain text or use ♥ ♡ ❥ instead.
  • Usernames and bios: text hearts (♥ ♡ ❥ ღ) and kaomoji are the safest choice where emoji are not allowed.

About this tool

Heart symbols split into two very different categories that are easy to confuse: full-colour emoji (❤️ 🧡 💛), which render as small pictures on modern devices, and plain Unicode heart characters (♥ ♡ ❥), which render as actual text glyphs in whatever font the destination uses. This tool has both, laid out as one-tap copy tiles, so you can grab whichever kind actually fits what you are pasting into - a heart emoji reaction versus a heart character inside a styled username, for instance.

How to use this tool

  1. Find your heartSearch (red, broken, sparkle, outline...) or open a tab - Color, Emoji, Text & Unicode, Couples, Decor, Kaomoji or ASCII. Seasonal packs cover Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, weddings and friendship.
  2. Tap any tileCopies it straight away - once, or 2, 3, 5 or 10 times in a row. Star the ones you use and they stay at the top next time.
  3. Build and styleAdd hearts to the combo builder, put hearts around a name or any text, or pick a ready-made message.
  4. Paste anywhereWorks in any app that accepts plain text or emoji - messages, bios, usernames, documents.

Copy and paste heart symbols and heart emojis

Tap any heart to copy it, then paste it into Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok, a text message or a document. Emoji hearts such as ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 show in colour on phones and social apps, while text heart symbols such as ♥ ♡ ❥ are ordinary characters that take the colour of the text around them - useful for names, bios and places where emoji look out of place.

By convention the colours carry meaning: red for love, pink for affection, yellow for friendship, blue for trust, purple for admiration and black for grief or dark humour.

Key features

  • Both emoji hearts (colour) and Unicode text hearts (font-rendered) in one place, clearly distinguished.
  • One tap to copy - no separate select-then-copy step.
  • 150+ hearts: every colour emoji, text hearts, couples, decor, kaomoji and ASCII art.
  • Favourites and a recently-copied row, saved on your device.
  • Combo builder, name-with-hearts styles, heart text frames and ready-made messages.
  • Unicode code point, HTML entity and CSS value for every heart, plus a PNG download.
  • Plain-text mode for apps that show emoji as boxes, and a heart wall generator.
  • Free, instant, works on both desktop and mobile browsers.

Common uses

  • Reacting to a message with a specific heart colour that matches the mood.
  • Adding a heart character inside a styled username or bio where an emoji might not render consistently.
  • Decorating a card, invitation or document with a heart symbol without opening an emoji picker.
  • Finding the plain-text heart suit symbol (♥) for use in a design or logo mockup.

Tips for better results

  • If you need the symbol to inherit your surrounding text's colour and font (for a logo or styled bio), use a plain Unicode heart like ♥ or ♡, not an emoji - emoji always render in their own fixed colour.
  • The red heart appears twice (❤️ and ❤) deliberately: one is the full-colour emoji, the other is the plain text character some apps render differently - try both if one looks wrong.
  • Broken heart (💔) and heart-with-arrow (💘) read as complete phrases on their own in a caption or comment.
  • Older devices or very locked-down apps occasionally do not support the newest heart emoji (like 🤎 brown heart) - the classic red, black and white hearts are the safest bet for maximum compatibility.

Frequently asked questions

Emoji (like ❤️ 🧡 💛) are rendered as small pictures by the operating system or app, always in their own fixed colour. Unicode text symbols (like ♥ ♡ ❥) are actual characters rendered by whatever font is active, so they inherit the surrounding text colour and style - useful when you want a heart to match a styled username or design.

One (❤️) is the full-colour emoji; the other (❤) is the plain Unicode text heart character. Some apps render them identically, others differently - having both lets you pick whichever displays correctly where you are pasting.

The classic hearts (red, black, white, broken heart, heart suit) work virtually everywhere. A few of the newer colour variants (brown, for instance) may not display on older phones or in apps that have not updated their emoji font - the tile will still copy correctly, it is just the receiving device's emoji support that varies.

Yes - copy as many symbols as you like, with no account and no restriction.
