Conversation
About this tool
Type a conversation, pick a theme, and export it as a clean phone screenshot. Aesthetic Chat is for mockups, memes, storyboards and design comps - the kind of image where a real screenshot would leak someone's actual messages. Everything is typed by you: there is no import from a real account, no backup reader, and nothing is uploaded. Please use it for fun and mockups only, never to impersonate anyone or fake evidence.
How to use this tool
- Write the messagesAdd bubbles one at a time and tap the Me/Them button to switch sides, or paste a whole script with "Me:" and "Them:" prefixes.
- Choose a lookFour themes - iMessage light and dark, a green chat style, and a minimal mono - plus a gradient backdrop behind the phone.
- Set the detailsContact name, status bar time, timestamps and the typing indicator are all optional.
- ExportDownload a 9:16 story or 1:1 feed PNG, or copy it straight to your clipboard.
Key features
- Full editor: add, delete, reorder and flip any message without starting over.
- Paste a whole conversation in one go with a simple Me:/Them: script.
- Bubbles are laid out and word-wrapped on the canvas, so the export is identical on every device.
- Chat anchors to the bottom of the phone, exactly like opening a real thread.
- Story and feed ratios at 1600px on the long edge.
- Nothing is imported from a real messaging account and nothing is uploaded.
Common uses
- Mocking up a messaging feature for a design review or a pitch deck.
- Making a joke or skit image for a story without screenshotting a real friend.
- Storyboarding dialogue for a short video.
- Illustrating a support article with an example conversation.
Tips for better results
- Keep bubbles short - real chats are short, and long ones look staged immediately.
- The typing indicator at the end is what sells it; leave it on for a cliffhanger.
- Minimal Mono is the theme to use when the image is going into a slide, since it does not imitate any real app.
Mistakes to avoid
- Using a mockup to imply a real person said something. Do not - it is the one thing this tool asks of you.
- Writing so many messages that the earliest ones scroll off the phone; the layout keeps the most recent, like a real thread.
Frequently asked questions
No, and that is deliberate. Every message here is typed or pasted by you. Reading a private chat backup is not something a browser tool should do, so it is not offered.
Making a mockup is fine. Using one to impersonate someone, fabricate evidence or defraud anyone is not, and may be a crime where you live. Keep it to jokes, designs and demos.
The themes are inspired by them, not pixel copies. Bubble shapes and colours are close enough to read at a glance while staying clearly a mockup.
Click "Paste script" and write one message per line, starting each with "Me:" or "Them:". A line with no prefix continues whoever spoke last.
No. The image is built on a canvas in your browser and your messages are gone as soon as you close the page.
Yes, it is a toggle under Extras and your preference is remembered on this device.
Yes. Aesthetic Chat is free for normal use with no account required, and ToolBox does not add a watermark to your result.
Most tools in this category run in your browser so the file stays on your device. If a tool needs a temporary server job, files are handled for that job only and are not kept as a lasting archive.
