A packing slip travels in the box and tells the person opening it what should be inside: each item with the quantity ordered, the quantity shipped in this parcel and anything still on back-order. Unlike an invoice it normally carries no prices - useful for gifts, drop-shipping and warehouses - though you can switch prices on. This generator builds one in your browser with ship-from and ship-to (and bill-to if different), the order, invoice and customer PO numbers, carrier and tracking number, number of packages and total weight, "Package 1 of 3", and a QR code of the order number for fast scanning at goods-in. Packing slip, packing list, delivery note
The names overlap. A packing slip (or delivery note) goes inside the parcel for the recipient; a packing list for freight and customs often adds weights and dimensions per package. This page covers both: weights, package counts and tracking are all fields.
